Many shoppers at the Owings Mills Farmers Market (Baltimore County) are looking for organically grown food. They desire that food that has been grown without chemical fertilizers and/or synthetic pesticides.
Homeland Organic Coffee has moved away from “regular” white sugar to organic sugar as a sweetener at our coffee table. I must admit having some of those “blue” packages available for the first two weeks and reconsidered when several customers declared (in different ways), “everything on the table ought to be organic.” So now, along with the organic coffee, the organic soy milk and the organic grass fed non-fat milk, which we’ve supplied from the start, we will only have organic sugar.
